Biography

Dr. Manikandan A is a Research Professor, has completed MSc. (Microbiology), M.Tech. (Biotechnology) and PhD (Molecular Medicine and Drug Discovery). He holding a total experience of 18+ years in both research and teaching. He completed PhD on Aug-2019 for his highly commended thesis “Small molecule for infection, inflammation, cancers and CVD”. He holding two Postdoc completions from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru, India. As of now, he has published 80 plus research articles and 20 plus review, book chapters, short communications and 60+ conference papers. Apart from his research positions with INDO-EUROPE and DST/DBT funded projects from IIT and JNCASR, he has also completed 4 SEED money grants from the organizations he worked and he was the Co-PI for two KSCST funded projects. He went to European countries as invited delegate to present research talks during 2021-2022. Recently on Nov-2023, he delivered a talk on his research findings at GSK (Stevenage), London, UK on the “Antimicrobial materials from natural products”. He has co-supervised 8 PhD and supervised 25+ M.Tech, and MSc, students. He also guided 50+ UG students (B.Tech/BSc.). He always encouraging students to research and made them to achieve in research. Being a three-time Young Scientist Award winner consecutively from 2016 to 2019 from notorious organizations and winner of best research papers (ORAL/POSTER) about 20+ times, he always making his students also to win such awards.
