Biography
Dr. T. Silambarasan is an accomplished researcher with an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Microbiology-Biotechnology from Periyar University, Salem, earned during 2012 and 2017. He has contributed significantly to various institutions and projects during his 8 years of research and 4 years of teaching experience. The current position that he holds is Assistant Professor in the Saveetha Medical College & Hospitals, SIMATS, Saveetha University, Chennai. Aspects of his research include environmental engineering, identification of bioactive plant-mediated metabolites, and neurodegenerative diseases. Numerous grants he has completed demonstrate his expertise. His work is recognized by several grants currently under review, in addition to his ongoing projects. His impressive publication record includes 50 papers in national and international journals, with an impressive h-index of 15. In addition to reviewing for 10 international journals including Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis and Willey. He has published 8 Book Chapters in Elsevier, Springer, Taylor & Francis. The award was given to him in 2022 for having the highest cumulative impact factor for a paper publication in the Health Science stream from pervious institute. The impact of his research extends to his involvement in the development of an innovative product, which has been funded by EDI-TN and his collaboration with the Ganesan Incubation and Entrepreneurship Center (GIEC), Chennai.
